SANGAJAYANA - THE SYMBOL OF GREAT WEALTH & FORTUNE.

Sangajayana is a main major symbol of wealth, fortune and flourish. Sangajayana is highly worshiped by Thai people as a greatest fortune monk equally to Sivali. His real name is MahaGajayana or Gajayana, but most people like to call him Sangajayana. Buddhistic legend says Gajayana was a very good looking monk and so similar to Lord Buddha that many people frequently misidentified him as the Lord.

The life story of Phra Sangkajai (originally the Arhat Mahakaccana or Mahakatyayana) is one of the most fascinating legends in Theravada Buddhism. It is a story about sacrificing physical beauty for spiritual truth, humility, and the spreading of the Dharma.

1. The Past Life: The Seed of Wealth and Beauty
According to Buddhist lore, a person's physical attributes and luck in their current life are determined by past merits. [1]
  • Centuries before the time of Gautama Buddha, a severe famine struck a region. [1]
  • The man who would eventually be reborn as Sangkajai was a simple merchant. Seeing the desperate hunger around him, he chose to perform a massive act of generosity: he donated 500 ox-carts full of rice and grain to feed the starving public and support the monks of that era. [1]
  • This profound act of selfless giving generated immense spiritual merit (Boon), ensuring that in all his future lifetimes, he would be blessed with limitless wealth, abundance, and an exceptionally handsome appearance. [1]
2. The Current Life: The Radiant Prince
Sangkajai was reborn during the time of Gautama Buddha as the son of a wealthy Brahmin high priest serving King Chandrapajjota. [1]
  • He grew into a young man of unparalleled beauty. His skin reportedly had a golden, radiant glow, and his features were so perfectly symmetrical that he was admired intensely by everyone who crossed his path. [1]
  • After encountering the historical Buddha and listening to his teachings, he instantly recognized the fleeting nature of worldly life. He gave up his wealth, ordained as a monk, and through rigorous meditation quickly attained the status of an Arhat (a fully enlightened being). [1, 2]
3. The Climax: The Drastic Transformation
Even as a holy monk, his physical looks proved to be a major obstacle. Two major folklore events prompted his transformation: [1]
  • The Inappropriate Desires: Because he was so stunning, both men and women constantly propositioned him. In one famous tale, a wealthy man looked at Sangkajai and openly wished the monk could be his wife because of his beauty.
  • The Confusion with the Buddha: Celestial angels and ordinary human devotees constantly confused Sangkajai with Gautama Buddha himself. They would mistakenly bow to Sangkajai, showering him with praise meant for the Buddha. [1, 2, 3]
Sangkajai felt deeply uncomfortable with this. He believed it was highly inappropriate to distract laypeople from their path to enlightenment and sinful for them to look at a monk with lustful or superficial thoughts. [1, 2]
Using his advanced spiritual powers, he consciously compressed and transformed his own body, altering his glorious golden frame into a short, heavily overweight monk with a massive protruding belly. He reasoned that by rendering his physical appearance unappealing, people would stop looking at his face and start listening to his mind. [1, 2]
4. The Result: The Scholar of Wealth and Wisdom
The Buddha deeply praised Sangkajai for this profound sacrifice. Rather than diminishing his stature, the transformation made him one of the most beloved figures in the community. [1]
  • His new rotund figure came to symbolize inner contentment and absolute spiritual fullness.
  • Because he cradled his large stomach, the posture became a metaphor for storing immense wisdom.
  • The Buddha declared Sangkajai as the foremost disciple in explaining complex, sophisticated Dhamma into simple, easily understandable language for everyday people.

Gajayana felt uncomfortable with that wrong identification. So he magically transfromed himself to be an ugly monk with a big potbelly, wishing to be looked ugly and different from the Lord. He was highly praised by people as a monk of humble consciousness with his high respect to the Lord. Then came the great fortune to Gajayana !! People gathered to make merit by offering him a great deal of food and many other needed things for monkhood. Such the occurrence was called in Bali-Thai word as Mahalarp (great fortune). Gajayana is one of the 80 greatest Arahants of Buddha time. He was ordained by Lord Buddha and also praised by the Lord.

All general enhancements & effects are a basic guide for users to understand the general usages and energy base of each item.

I would like to re-emphasis all different magic amulets/charms/wax are made with different magic subjects and ingredients producing different level of energy to help the wearer to achieve their goals or needs in life.

For Example - Buddha XXX amulet contain different energy base as Buddha XYZ, although both have the same common name or category. Common mistake is to believe all amulets with same common name contain the same energy for enhancements.

Please use all my magic amulets for the right purpose, don’t abuse the magic of the amulet to harm others.

In 1993, Wat Ban Khlong in Phanat Nikhom District was planning to construct a new assembly hall but lacked funds. Therefore, they created the "Phra Pidta Maha Lap Tri Mas" amulet to raise funds. They received kind support from Phra Kru Vijitthamphirat, the current abbot of Wat Lahan Rai, who donated old robes, Phrai Kumarn powder, and a number of damaged amulets from Luang Pu Tim. Additionally, Phra Maha Suang, from Wat Rakhang, donated roof tiles from his temple to be used as part of the amulet's composition. These materials were combined with the temple's own accumulated sacred powders, including: Phra Phutthakhun powder, Phra Itthije powder, Phra Pathamang powder, Bang Khun Phrom 1966 powder, Luang Pu Toh powder from Wat Pradu Chimphli, Luang Pu Hiang's Phra Pidta powder from Wat Pa, old palm leaf powder, 108 types of herbal powders, 108 types of pollen powders, 108 types of incense powders from various temples, and powder from a number of damaged amulets from the Lamphun hoard.

Consecration ceremony

1. Luang Phor Koon of Wat Ban Rai performed a blessing ceremony for the Phra Prok Bai Makham amulets and Takrut (made of gold, silver, and gold-plated) to be placed inside all the Phra Pidta amulets.
2. The first amulets were pressed on February 23, 1995, as an auspicious beginning, by Luang Phor Siri of Wat Tan, Luang Phor Sawat of Wat Mao Sukha, and Luang Phor Mongkol of Wat Nen Lang Tao. Nine abbots chanted auspicious blessings and Buddhist mantras. All amulets were pressed within the temple itself, with all types completed by May 7, 1995.
3. Monks from Wat Ban Khlong chanted Buddhist mantras.
4. On August 22, 1995, a Buddhist consecration ceremony was held at the main chapel of Wat Bowonniwet, with the Supreme Patriarch presiding over the lighting of the ceremonial candles and offering prayers.
5. On February 11, 1996, another Buddhist consecration ceremony was held at Wat Ban Khlong, with nine revered monks participating.

– Luang Pho Prasert
– Luang Pho Sa-at
– Luang Pho Siri of Wat Tan (lighting the victory candle)
– Luang Pho Sawat of Wat Mao Sukha (extinguishing the victory candle)
– Luang Pho Mongkol
– Luang Pho Wiboon of Wat Lam Toi Ting
– Luang Pho Poon of Wat Ban Phan
– Luang Pho Phim of Wat Pom Kaeo
– Luang Pho Fu of Wat Bang Samak.

The Phra Pidta Maha Lap Tri Mas amulet was produced in only one design, but in two variations: one with a tamarind leaf amulet embedded on the back, and one without. The version with the
embedded amulet comes in five materials: palm leaf powder, pollen, beeswax, temple tile, and incense powder.
The version without the embedded amulet comes in four materials: palm leaf powder, pollen, temple tile, and incense powder. All amulets, regardless of design, have a takrut (sacred metal scroll) embedded on the front and a piece of Luang Pu Tim's robe attached.
