Many people have the mindset that only dealers or shops are selling fake amulets, the answer is untrue. I have seen and know many younger generation masters selling fake old amulets in recent years.
Younger generation of masters in monk robe or layman are selling questionable or fake amulets to foreigners to earn huge amount of money in Thailand as most people have this impression that monks in robe or masters will not cheat my money.
Also Times are bad, even their own disciples or temple committees are fighting for their share to sell fake old amulets in temple grounds or for many of them are selling in Bangkok.
I will not mention any names or temples...but do beware of such cases that happening...
I know many younger generation masters are making tons of money from selling their own rituals services and amulets...despite earning from the above services, they are still preying on naive foreigners to buy old amulets...as the pricing for old amulets are higher.
Silly people will think that these young masters or their disciples are making their own magic amulets, so no matter what old amulets they are selling to me are all real and genuine...
* I seen many *smart* people buying and wearing such fake amulets in the last few years and they themselves cannot believe or do not wish to accept reality that these masters or disciples sold them fake amulets. *
End of the day. do not be greedy !!! Up to you to believe that you are wearing a piece of factory made amulets...300-500k THB for a piece of stone....good luck to you.
Not to mention the old tricks that they want to help you and they will sell you the amulets at discounted pricing.
